Meet the Pups for Puppy Bowl XI

You know, besides the Superbowl coming up tomorrow, the annual Puppy Bowl on animal planet is almost here too, though sadly it will air around the same time as the Superbowl so I probably won't be able to watch the whole thing, but here is the starting lineup for the dogs for this year:

There are quite a bit of puppies playing this year.  In case if you do not know, the Puppy Bowl is an annual event on Animal Planet inspired by the NFL featuring many different puppies having some fun on a football style arena along with a referee supervising them.  It appears many of them are adoptable though I am not sure how the adoptions work.  There is also usually a halftime show showing kittens playing too.  I am sure my dogs would love to be in the Puppy bowl if they could (especially Tucker who has alot of energy) though obviously they are too old to join the games.  By the way, which dogs are your favorites one the list.  You can get more information about Puppy Bowl at http://www.animalplanet.com/tv-shows/puppy-bowl/.

By the way, Animal Planet does have a puppy web camera where you can check out the puppies at any time at: http://www.animalplanet.com/tv-shows/puppy-bowl/games-and-more/puppy-cam/

2015 Super Bowl Ads!!

Who is pumped for the superbowl tomorrow?  Patriots vs Seahawks.  Let the best team win.  Anyways, here is a commentary video I liked about some of the commercials that are going to be playing tomorrow for the superbowl.  There are some animal related videos too, such as the one with the laborador puppy and horses, sponge bob movie, and a few others.  Other noteworthy commercials includes one from T-mobile featuring Kim Kardashian, a trailer for Ted 2 (yes, apparently there is a sequel in the works for Ted), and even one featuring this dude in this virtual pac man arena.  Check it out

What do you think of the commercials?  Which ones were your favorite.  By the way, I am from the Seattle area, so naturally I will be rooting for the Seahawks.  On a side note, I might consider going to the victory parade this year should they win against the Patriots.

DOG SCARED OF REFLECTION Animals vs Mirrors | Snow Dog Short 37

Here is a funny video of a siberian husky named, Memphis, who sees a reflection of himself in a glass by the TV and starts growling and barking at "himself".  Pretty funny video.  By the way, I have tried similar tricks with my dogs (such as showing them mirrors), but they don't really to anything.  Though some animals can do pretty strange things around mirrors. I should do a post sometime talking about that.

Raccoons Are Awesome: Compilation

Time for some raccoon action.  Mischevious creatures most definitely.  Here in Washington, they seem to be more prevalent along the coast (lake the Lake Ozzette area).  I have seen them at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma too (especially along the 5 mile drive).

Taylor Swift's Gift Giving of 2014

Here is a touching video of Taylor Swift giving gifts to some of her fans, check it out.

While this video is not quite animal related, I felt like sharing this video about Taylor Swift, by the way, there are cats in it (looks like she has cats at her place and you can definitely see them in the video, at least early on).  It is one thing to buy gifts for friends and family, but to buy gifts for people you don't know, that is quite another.  If I had more money, I'd probably do the same.  In fact, at my church (Snohomish Community Gifts), they do host gift drives (also known as the Advent Conspiracy events) where you can donate gifts to the church that are distributed to families and children all over the globe.  I also helped with the Northwest Harvest event back in December via Kohl's cares, and they too collect donations to give to people all over the world.  I can't say I have ever gotten gifts from celebrities myself (not that I should expect them), though obviously I don't know any of them personally (though I did meet Jamie Moyer from the Seattle Mariners once as I had to do a demo at one of the QFC's in the university district of Seattle and I was helping with a calendar signing event he was hosting).

How about you.  Have you gotten any gifts from Taylor Swift or other celebrities?  It has got to be an extraordinary experience for those who actually met her.
