On another part of the Alaskan cruise, we visited Skagway, Alaska (we actually went to Skagway a few days before arriving at Ketchikan) and during our time at Skagway, we stopped at the Klondike Gold Fields museum and they had a sled dog tour. Note: these are not purebred siberian huskies, but rather a hybrid breed called "alaskan huskies". Alaskan huskies are becoming more popular among sled dog teams as opposed to siberians and malamutes, and so Alaskan huskies could become the standard sled dog some day.
